Paul ThorsnesWhat we’re doing

Concerns about energy prices and environmental impacts are motivating the development of new, and re-consideration of existing householder transport methods (or modes) and technologies.

Each alternative mode of travel varies in a potentially large number of attributes, such as upfront and operating cost, time cost, convenience and environmental impact, and there can also be considerable variation in the attributes of a given mode, such as with electric versus petrol-powered vehicles.

Choosing a more energy-efficient method of personal transport requires sorting through a potentially daunting amount of information about these attributes.

To assist householder decision-making, PEP for transport prioritises alternative methods based on the attributes householders care most about, and then provides information and links to additional information about these methods.
